Do you own commercial cold storage?
Most business owners believe that a temperature data logger and monitoring system is not needed.
The mean time between failures of cold storage is around once every 13.8 months, without considering the times when the door is left open by accident.
Not knowing what happens in your fridge and your sensitive products is like having no health insurance.
A big portion of our customers, found out about us only after they had a failure that was very costly.

It's easy
Setup is so easy, that in many cases you don't even need a technitian.
All you need is a Wi-Fi network with Internet connection. HAM ThermoSense connects directly to our Cloud, no centrals hubs required!
The PT-100 probe of the device is placed inside the cold storage. The device, that is as small as a matchbox, remains outside and measure the environmental temperature and humidity.
HAM ThermoSense is powered by 5VDC via microUSB (just like a phone charger-included) or through terminal connections.
If you wish, you can also use up to 2 door sensors.

Frequently Asked Questions
Using our app, where you can view readings, logged data, graph, setup automations and notifications is entirely free forever. We have apps for Android and iOS devices and you can also have full access to the functionality of the apps with your computer through our website (hamsystems.eu). For some optional features, such as phonecall notifications, there is a small subscription fee.
You can setup rules like "If the temperature exceeds 10 degrees C for half an hour, then call the number 69xxxxxxxx with the message `...`". You can receive Notifications on your smartphone if our app is installed, via email, via sms or phonecall.
For SMS and phonecalls, there is a small subscription fee per account. This means that you need a single subscription for as many devices as you like, as long as the usage limits of the subscription are not exceeded.
Every device supports one PT-100 sensor probe (provided). This probe is installed inside the fridge, usually by a refrigeration technician.
The probe provided with the device operates in temperatures in the range -40 to 200 degrees C and has a length of 2 meters. You can extend the probe up to 30 meters with common cables. The devices must be outside the refrigerator, in a spot where it cannot get wet.
Every device supports one sensor probe. This means that you one device for every refrigerator you want to monitor.
In order for the device to be able operate, a Wi-Fi network with internet access is a require\ment. In places that there is no Wi-Fi coverage due to the distance from your router, there are cheap ways to extend your network (such as extenders). If there is no Internet connection, then you can use a 3G Wi-Fi router and 3G connection. Monthly usage does not exceed 200MB / device.
Besides installation, you need a smartphone or a tablet (Android or iOS), to configure the Wi-Fi connection of the device.
In case there is an power or internet outage, you can get notified by setting up a rule that checks if the device is disconnected. While there is no internet connection, there is no data logging. In the future, we are planning to support offline data logging that uploads data as soon as the internet connection is restored (provided there is still power on the device).
No! Communicating with HAM devices happens with the cloud. You can see readings / control our system in real time from anyplace in the world (including the North Pole with a satellite internet connection)
The device requires a stable power connection that can be provide in two ways:
- 5VDC power supply with a micro-USB output, similar to a smartphone charger (provided)
- 5VDC power supply via terminal block (see documentation for connection instructions)
This usually means that there needs to be a mains power source near the device
With our system, you can you export pdf temperature logs for any date range. This is similar and replaces manual logging by personel, as long as you make sure to check that the device temperature readinngs are reasonably accurate (e.g. by comparing to the refrigeture thermometer).
Data logs are kept in the cloud forever and free of charge! Data logging is done at a variable rate. When there is not substantial change to measurements, data logging is done every few minutes. If there is a substantial change then this is logged immediately.
Provided that the device is powered from a stable 5VDC source (e.g. from the car battery via a converter/charger) and there is Wi-Fi network available (e.g. from a Wi-Fi hotspot) the device will operate in the same way as if it was installed in a stationary refrigerator.
No Network communications are always through the cloud where permission checks and authentication is done. Devices will not respond in the local network for security reasons. All communications between the cloud and the device are encrypted (on top of the Wi-Fi encryption), so it practically impossible to read data or control devices even if the attacker has access to the network and/or Wi-Fi credentials.
Yes! Every device can be setup to be accessible by more than one user based on the permissions set by the owner/administrator. For example, you can provide READ access to your refrigetators to your technician or employees.
Probably not! We are always on the lookout for new ways to improve and enchance our offerings. We are one of the first companies in the world that offered affordable Wi-Fi based automation and monitoring devices, Facebook bot for control and notifications and had support for Amazon Alexa. If however, there is something that you believe that is missing from our platform and device selection, we gladly welcome your feedback! We value dearly our customers' input.
